Most famous video website in the world YouTube, owned by tech giant Google, is allegedly planning to spend one billion dollars for acquiring Twitch, most popular service for video game broadcasting.
By calling to a source issued by Itar Tas agency, Variety is claiming that the agreement about purchase has already been settled.
If this transaction gets approved by the Department of Justice of the United States, the mentioned price will be payed in direct bank transfer, which literally means cash in corporate world.
Twitch service is the world’s biggest video game broadcaster, which allows players to stream their gameplay in real time, and their user base consists of 45 million gamers.
Twitch app is a native and default installed app on both most famous next generation consoles Sony Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
According to the data issued by Variety, the acquisition is going to be announced officially pretty soon.
Meanwhile, both companies have declined to comment on this possible acquisition, which usually means one thing, it is going on!
