Famous hotel chain Hilton is planning on spending $550 million for introducing their 4000 hotels into the smartphone era by the end of this year.
The goal is to put the smartphone as a center of the client experience, which will indirectly kick out some of the employees.
By using the official Hilton smartphone app the guests will be able to reserve a room, choose the floor and room number and even to check-in without going to the reception.
With the help of its smartphone the guests will also be able to lock and unlock the doors of their rooms.
Hilton group is planning to offer this type of technology in the few hotels in USA, and then in 2016 it is planned for this tech to enter in general use.
