One of the most popular instant messaging and VoIP applications in the world Skype is soon getting a new feature called Skype Translator which will allow for simultaneous translation of the conversations that users are having in different languages.

During an interview for online magazine Re/code held on 27th of May on the Code conference in California, director of Microsoft Satya Nadella has talked about how we are entering a new era of even more personal computer use.

He presented Microsoft’s goal in creating a computer experience which will be more natural and humane.

While presenting the more humane computer use, corporate vice-president of companies Skype and Lync, Gurdeep Pal has joined Nadella on stage in order to reveal the initial look of Skype Translator.

Skype Translator is product in making, which will be available for beta testing for certain languages on Windows 8.1 by the end of the year.

Gurdeep has been presenting on English and he has been talking over Skype with Dian, who is an employee in Microsoft and she has been talking in German.

Their conversation has been translated in real time through speech and text.
