According to the information distributed from SamMobile web portal; Samsung has released a new software upgrade for its flagship smartphone Galaxy S5 without much fuss.
Upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900) model comes with a mark G900FXXU1ANE2 and it fixes known problems and errors which resulted as slow startup of gallery and camera apps, and problems with fingerprint scanner. Finger print scanner has become even more precise with this update, which will help a lot of users who are used to tapping their phone with one hand. Some of the hardware performance has also been increased with the new update, so now the S5 has better control of its RAM memory and cache dumping.
Even though it has released a new update, that doesn’t mean that Samsung has updated the Galaxy S5’s Android operating system with a new 4.4.3 version. Samsung Galaxy S5 is still running the 4.4.2 Jelly bean system.
This update is already available in most of the western countries, and if still haven’t got it in your country, don’t worry it will be arriving shortly, probably in the next few weeks.
But if you are impatient and cannot wait, you can download the UK firmware version here and update your Samsung Galaxy S5 manually.
Before starting the update process, be sure to make a backup of existing firmware, just in case something goes wrong.
