The killing of Windows XP and slower growth of tablet devices has had impact on PC sales, even though that market is constantly in crisis.
Good news are coming for personal desktop devices, or not so bad news – announces UK Guardian. The PC sales in 2014 have dropped only for 3.7% while that drop in 2013 comparing to 2012 was 6%.
According to the latest information from IDC, that would mean that during this year there will be 303.5 million of sold PCs. Only one year earlier 315.1 million units have been sold, while in 2012 around 352 million devices have been sold. However, IDC cannot predict too much in the future, noting that until 2018, PC sales will drop to 291 million devices a year.
