For some time now, rumors have been going on about the intentions of HTC to return to the tablet market. Information about HTC Nexus tablet under code name Volantis have surfaced recently.
It seems that we could expect a pretty interesting device. First surprise is the screen ratio which will be 4:3, which is not usual for Android tablets. With screen ratio 4:3 HTC is perhaps trying to attract Apple users.
According to inside information from Twitter, 8.9 inch Volantis is being tested with 1680 x 1050 display, but it will be delivered with 2560 x 1600 panel which is used by Samsung tablets. All Samsung tablets have 16:10 ratio, and not 4:3, so it will be interested to wait and see what HTC has really stored for us.
The idea that HTC Nexus will feature NVIDIA Tegra K1 chip is pretty real, even though the device is allegedly being tested witn Snapdragon 810.
However, instead of mentioned 2 GB of RAM, latest rumors are claiming that Volantis will have incredible 5 GB of RAM.
Even though this isn’t the final decision or completely reliable information, it sure will be great to enjoy such a powerful tablet device.
Other rumors about Volantis are claiming the possibilities for 5 or 8 megapixels main camera as well as 64 GB of internal storage.
