Counterpoint Technology Market Research has published a new report of global sales of mobile and smartphones including Top 10 list of the phones with most sales. The report has been created by conducting 35 world markets.
With the data gathered all the way up to May this year, it has been concluded that the iPhone 5S is still the most selling smartphone in the world, while Samsung Galaxy S5 is getting close.
On second and third place are also devices from Samsung, Galaxy S4 and Note 3, and then on fourth place the cheaper version of iPhone 5c is situated. Then we have Apple 4s and on seventh place we can find Xiaomi MI3 which comes as a surprise.
After MI3, we have another Samsung, Galaxy S4 Mini, then again Xiaomi Hongmi Redrice and number 10 is Samsung Galaxy Grand 2.
Even though, Sony Xperia Z1 and Motorola’s Moto G, Huawei Honor 3C and LG G2 haven’t made to top 10, Counterpoint analysts say that they are in the Top 20 of the most selling models.
Counterpoint notes that this data has been gathered from direct sales of mobile phones, and not on their delivery to stores or operators.
