In order to improve its financial situation and results, Taiwanese company HTC has decided to adopt a new business approach.

HTC has founded the new business unit called HTC Creative Labs whose mission is to create new apps and improve existing ones.

New HTC company has headquarters in Seattle where they have gathered 250 experts from Seattle, San Francisco and Taipei.

CEO of the new company is Drew Bamford, long term leader of HTC’s team for UI development. The main goal of this unit will be creation of apps for all Android users.

First app that will be tweaked and developed will be Zoe, which is based on the familiar software with the same name, which allows users to create short clips by combining 16 photos and video clips with music, transition and effects.

Beside clip creation tool, new Zoe should also become a sort of social network for sharing of those clips.

In order to promote the app, HTC plans partnerships with celebrities from music and sports scenes. The artists and players who are going to enter this partnership are still unknown.
