Microsoft has confirmed that next to smartphones and tablets, their virtual assistant Cortana will become available for desktop and laptop computers as well.
After the initial launch of Cortana to Windows Phone devices this April, a lot of rumors emerged about whether it will eventually come to the desktop and laptop PCs.
Marcus Ash, the development manager for Windows Phone platform has announced future plans for Cortana in a series of Tweets.
By reading his Tweets, one can realize that the Microsoft is indeed planning to develop Cortana for PCs, but not immediately as they first want to deliver the complete experience for Cortana for Windows Phone users.
Only when the company is sure that they are delivering the complete and great product, they will start development of Cortana for other platforms like Windows 8.1, Android and iOS.
