Google has published results about usage of different versions of Android operating systems on the global scale.
Version 4.4 named KitKat has finally taken over 2.3 version Gingerbread which is already three years old.
Only the devices that have been visiting the Google Play store in the period from 1st to 7th July have been used for conducting data for the research.
Android KitKat 4.4 has a market share of $17.9, but still the leading version is Android 4.x Jelly Bean which has market share of %56.5.
The most popular Jelly Bean is Android 4.1.x which has been used by %27.8, while Android 4.2x and Android 4.3 have %19.6 and %9 respectively.
Gingerbread has fell down from %14.9 percent to %13.5 in comparison to the last month, while Froyo 2.2 has %.0.7 market share.
